Heart rate is the number of beats per minute of the heart, and the pulse rate is the number of times per minute that the heart effectively beats to produce a pulse. Under normal conditions, the heart rate is equal to the pulse rate, but under conditions of poor heart function or arrhythmia (such as in patients with atrial fibrillation), the pulse rate can be less than the heart rate.

Children 2-3 years old 100-120 times/min
